Bambi

ADOPTED JANUARY 2021

Grade Mare (Filly)

Born: 2018

Arrival: February 2019

ONLINE SPONSOR: Stephanie D.

Cute Bambi was surrendered to the ranch with her mom, Mimi, and dad, Hidalgo. This 14.1 hand (and growing) mare really enjoys attention from our volunteers. Her groundwork skills are excellent, including haltering, leading and lunging, tolerating fly spray, and getting sprayed with water from the hose. She’s also good for the farrier.

Bambi does exceptional with our trail obstacles and loads easily into the trailer and stands tied quietly, inside and outside of the trailer. She’s also recently been saddled with a bareback pad and saddle and accepted both with ease.

Always curious and fearless, Bambi is very friendly, loves people and gets along with the other horses on our ranch. She has been pastured with both mares and geldings. And after demonstrating her loud lady like squeal, she is just fine with the boys. She even gets along well with our ranch dogs.

Interesting fact…Bambi competed in our Adopt-a-Thon in September 2019, competing with fully grown horses and placing 4th in the competition!

With her smooth gaits, athleticism, and willing attitude, Bambi would someday make a great trail horse, show prospect or even an excellent reining competitor.
