Take a look at this black beauty, Onyx. She and her foal, Tucker, were saved by the ranch moments before they were sent to slaughter. Tucker grew into a beautiful young man while at the ranch and was adopted in 2021.
Previously fearful of human interaction, Onyx is learning to trust her handlers and has made incredible progress. She’s a very intelligent mare with an independent personality. She has completed her ground training. She does well with round pen work, stands for farrier, loads into a trailer, and does well with duress and in-hand obstacles. We have begun working on beginning stages of saddle training.
This beautiful mare has come so far and deserves the right partner to further her potential.
