Petite little Rosebud stands at approximately 13 hands and loves children. Even though she may take a while to warm up to adults, she has wonderful manners, and small children can easily halter, groom and lead her. She backs up with the slightest ask and loads into a trailer very easily, standing quietly as you secure her.
Rosebud gets along well with other horses and is never aggressive, making her the perfect herd companion. She is very curious and always interested in what you’re doing. She accepts fly lotion, but can be nervous about a fly spray bottle.
While Rosebud can be a challenge to catch in a large area, she’s more accepting in a stall. Approaching her slowly makes catching her easier. Once she is haltered, she is very easy to medicate and holds very still. She’s currently on Cushings medication and had some tooth extractions due to age.
