Sue was born to Italian immigrant parents in Waterbury, Connecticut, a once vibrant industrial town. She always had a love for horses, but the closest she would get as a child was through books and the occasional drive through the country.

She moved to New Mexico in 1989. A friend knew that she liked horses and suggested that she go to the Arabian Horse Nationals. The dormant horse bug was awakened! From there the adventure began. She started taking lessons, which led to the purchase of an Arabian mare. Her interest in showing led to the purchase of her APHA gelding, Shonto. They dabbled in showing locally. During that time, she served on the board of the New Mexico Paint Horse club, both a rewarding and educational experience. Her horse life currently revolves around owning and showing her American Quarter Horse mare, Born to be Fabulous. Her horse journey has gone from backyard horse owner to showing on the AQHA show circuit.

Sue worked for 31 years as the Customer Service Manager for a local jewelry wholesaler and manufacturer and understands the importance of good customer service and communication. She is excited to bring those skills to the organization.
